A modern programme that builds knowledge and skills

At our Kindergarten, the official Ministry of Education curriculum is delivered through modern, hands-on and creative activities, adapted to the needs of children aged 4 to 6.

Through language, first mathematical concepts, learning about the environment, science, art, music, movement and play, children learn to observe, express themselves, work together and look for solutions.

Our aim is not only knowledge, but the growth of critical thinking, creativity, independence and a love of learning. In this way, every child is prepared smoothly and genuinely for the move to primary school.

A gentle move into Kindergarten

Every child settles in gradually, with respect for their personality and for the time they need to feel comfortable in the new environment.

The teaching team is beside the child from the first day, so that they get to know the space, the routine, their classmates and their teachers in a natural, calm way.

At the same time, we keep in steady contact with the family, so that joining the Kindergarten is a positive experience and a safe start to the new school year.

Daily meals with quality and care

Our Kindergarten serves three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. All of them are prepared in the school kitchen by our own cook, with fresh, carefully chosen ingredients.

The meal programme is based on the Mediterranean diet, contains no added sugar and is reviewed and signed off by a paediatrician. The annual programme is published on the online platform for parents.

In the case of an allergy, an intolerance or a documented medical matter, the necessary adjustments are made, provided the school has been informed in good time and in the proper way.

Modern facilities for learning and creating

Our Kindergartens in Elefsina and Aspropyrgos are housed in buildings we own, with yards, and have bright, well-organised classrooms arranged for children aged 4 to 6.

The spaces support learning, cooperation, creative expression and play, and include rooms for rest and children’s toilets adapted to their needs.

Every site has organised safety, fire-safety and regular disinfection measures, so that children spend their day in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

A stable teaching team and real cooperation with the family

Every group is staffed by a lead kindergarten teacher and a teaching assistant, so that children have familiar faces, guidance and support every day.

Parents are kept informed daily through the school’s online platform about participation, activities and their child’s day as a whole.

In addition, a scheduled parents’ meeting takes place every three months, together with a written assessment of the child’s progress by their lead teacher.

Health and responsible care

A paediatrician visits our Kindergartens once a month, and once enrolment is complete parents fill in a detailed medical history form.

This way the school knows in good time about allergies, intolerances, medication or other particular needs. Basic medication is given only with the parent’s prior written consent.

We also follow the health regulations in force and the required procedures for protecting the children and the school community.

Experiences beyond the classroom

Learning at our Kindergarten is enriched with English and Tae Kwon Do lessons, as well as educational visits, excursions and school events.

Through these, children discover the world around them, gain new experiences and build cooperation, self-discipline, sociability and confidence.

They also take part in the national anniversary parades, experiencing important moments of our history and local traditions first hand.

Summer celebration and graduation

At the end of each school year we hold our summer celebration together with the graduation ceremony for the kindergarten children.

It is a special moment for the children and their families, full of joy, emotion and lovely memories from the school year that is ending, and it marks the next big step towards primary school.

«To Spitaki tis Sokolatas» has been open since 1994, with more than 30 years of experience in early years education.

With consistency, love and respect for what makes each child unique, we create an organised and supportive environment that helps children grow, gain confidence and move on to their next school step with certainty.

Enrolment, fees and school transport

Enrolment at our Kindergartens is open throughout the year, subject to availability.

Fees are paid privately. It is also possible for all or part of the cost to be covered by employers that offer such benefits to their staff.

School bus transport is also available, on set routes and by arrangement with the site.

Tours of our spaces are arranged by telephone appointment only.

Our schools are closed from 23 December to 2 January, from Holy Thursday to Easter Tuesday, on official public holidays and on the feast day of the patron saint of the town where each school is based.
